Sense AND Sensibility
At the EuroShop 2002, constructiv PILA mini enclosed
our stand as a transparent and elastic outer skin. With
its organic curves, it resembled a pulsating and living
membrane, enveloping in its interior the double-storey
core made from constructiv PILA Doppelstock parts.
While on the ground floor the visitors could move unobstructed
among the supports and meet for informal
discussion, on the upper floor they could relax in the
bar and lounge areas. Thanks to the textile wall and
ceiling panels in the double-storey stand, the visitor
could on the one hand feel protected, and on the other
hand connect visually and atmospherically with what
was happening at the event through the double translucency
of the inner and outer skin.
constructiv PILA Petite could happily cover the exhibition
area of 1,800 square meters, integrating even the
aisles (and their frequenters) in its ample architecture,
and with its shopfronts of matt and clear glass becoming
the much-visited boulevard-cum-shopping precinct
for the international furniture fair at Cologne. On the
inside, the exhibitor Casawell lived up to its name with
a trade fair stand in which one feels at ease and at
home – Japanese style, transparent sliding doors, and
airily suspended awnings open out into a spacious
architecture with a homely ambiance. A furniture range
found commensurate expression in the trade fair
architecture.
constructiv PILA Petite as a fashion showroom. Instead
of entering a classic trade fair stand, the visitors find
themselves inside a sophisticated shop architecture –
with shop window displays, counters, showcases and
presentation elements. Behind a textile cover of aluminium-
coated awnings, the boundaries between trade
fair design and shop design were blurred inside. After
all, with constructiv PILA Petite complete shop fitting
is possible, to ensure a uniform corporate design from
the trade fair up to the point of sale. |
